A Basketful of Eggs

Today, I have some Easter cards for you. I love this wicker-basket stamp and die set from Divinity Designs. I’ve used it for so many different occasions filled with flowers, Christmas ornaments, etc.

I used a variety of decorative scissors to decorate my Easter eggs. After die-cutting the egg shapes, I cut each egg apart and adhered the two halves onto a white egg shape leaving just a tiny bit of the white showing. I used double-stick tape to the outer edges of the basket and foam tape to the middle back to give dimension to the basket.

Normally, I would create my own backgrounds, but I had this beautiful tie-dye paper in my stash from Momenta. It was perfect for my cards. I think the bow from Spellbinders Paper Arts gave my cards the finishing touch.

DESIGNER TIP: I often put together multiples of the cards I make. Designing a card takes the most time for me. When I come up with a design I like, it only makes sense to create more than one. In this case for Easter, I’m sending cards to several people, but I usually give away most of my cards. I love letting my sister-in-law and others go through my stash and take home their favorite cards to send to their friends.

Thanks so much for stopping in today. I hope I’ve encouraged you to make your own cards. Happy Easter!

May the Lord be glorified by the work of my hands, Pamela
